We have made the most challenging puzzle from Active Puzzles' catalog, "Starry Night" by Van Gogh. 457 pieces that, to be honest, took us several afternoons. We have chosen not only for being the most difficult, but because it is a very curious version of this famous painting. Van Gogh looking at the moon with the same image under his arm. Alireza Karimi Moghaddam, is an Iranian artist who illustrates Van Gogh in many facets of daily life and enjoying his own art, as in this puzzle.

This puzzle is made with birch wood of approx. 4mm thick. The pieces are laser cut and vary in size from very small to large. The shapes of the pieces are unique and detailed, which gives them a good fit. The image is impeccable and adheres perfectly to the piece, with a smooth semi-matte finish, bonding perfectly. This has been one of the details that most caught our attention.

Another thing that surprised us was the number of whimsical pieces related to Van Gogh and his art. To be exact, we have counted 66 whimsical pieces for a 457 piece puzzle, which means that there is approximately one shaped piece of every 7 pieces!

Not least, the packaging. The box has a great size, and each side has details about the puzzle (name, size, number of pieces). To seal the box you can find two rubber bands on the sides that keep it closed. In addition, it brings a support for the cover of the box so that you can comfortably observe the image while assembling the puzzle. Without a doubt, they have thought of everything!
